Manual Toothbrush

Dental Floss
Dental floss typically comes in waxed or un-waxed. Waxed floss is recommended for tighter contacts that are more prone to shredding dental floss. Un-waxed floss is useful for contacts that are less tight, as it’s more absorbent than waxed floss.
Floss Sticks/Wands
These are tools that help with flossing. They contain a small end with floss on prongs and a little handle to hold on to. They eliminate the need to wrap floss around your fingers, which can be tricky. Floss sticks/wands can be either disposable or reusable, depending on the type. Water Floss

Tongue Cleaner
A tongue cleaner/scraper is used to remove bacteria from the tongue surface. Because the surface of the tongue is rough due to microscopic taste buds, it can easily harbour plaque. Tongue cleaners come in the form of bristled brushes or corrugated plastic scrapers.
End Tuft Brush
This brush has a small end of bristles, about 1/3 the size of a regular manual toothbrush. It is used to clean out areas that are difficult to access, such as back molars or around areas of gum recession.
Interdental Brush
This brush looks like a small pipe cleaner and is used to clean between teeth and around braces or appliances.
Rubber Tip Stimulator
This tool is used to promote blood flow to the gums and reduce gum inflammation. The rubber tip is used to massage around the gum line gently.
