Woman having dental exam performedDental fluorosis is a change that occurs in the look of the tooth’s enamel. The changes in the appearance of the enamel vary regarding their severity. In mild cases, white spots are visible on the surface of the tooth’s enamel. In moderate to severe cases, heavy discoloration and pitting of the enamel are present. The image below shows a moderate example of fluorosis.

The most common type of crossbite involves upper teeth that are situated behind the lower teeth when the mouth is closed or when biting down. It may occur when the lower and upper jaws are not properly aligned. It may also be due to excessive crowding of the teeth, resulting in poor alignment.
